Introducing Frontier, a members only lounge and bar where Cartel Club Members can work, meet, eat and drink in informal and stylish surroundings.
Frontier will be open from 09:30 to 24.00 daily, offering all day dining, from breakfast and coffee to bar snacks, exceptional cocktails and dinner. A home away from home, Frontier is an ideal venue for our members to conduct meetings, to spend a couple of hours when they would otherwise be at a loose end in town, or to meet with friends; an all day space where their every need is catered for.
MEET ANDREW COPSEY

At the helm is Sommelier, chef, and award winning mixologist, Andrew Copsey, who hails from the most coveted bars in London and luxurious resorts worldwide. Thanks to Andrew’s sophisticated techniques and globally renowned creative flair, Cartel Members Club will set the standard for the ultimate Cape Town bar and dining experience.
Andrew has moved from London to Cape Town to become our full time Food and Beverage Director, and is already being recognised in the press. During a recent interview with GQ Magazine, Andrew explained,
"I find it fascinating that Cape Town has barely scratched the surface of what could be achievable here in terms of the cocktail scene, given its calibre and credentials in the international marketplace; something I hope to change."
The term ‘frontier’ can be used to describe a physical area or even a breakthrough in innovation - it’s about bravely venturing into unchartered territory with the hope of new and exiting discoveries that could change lives, or even shape history.

Some tables will be available for members to book for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks whilst others will be kept available for walk-ins, so that our members can always be accommodated.
Frontier will also be accessible to 1 Sandhill Road Hotel guests from 01 December 2019, to provide an exclusive in-house bar and dining option and lounge space.
